Off to Simferopol!

Praising God for Dylan's passport in a day and a half! Truly a miracle here!  We have sat outside so many buildings waiting to get papers - it is truly unbelievable! A staggering amount of paper has been used in this whole process.

We made the three and a half hour taxi ride safely to Simferopol! We had a great trip and are in a very nice apartment (I'll post pics.)

Anyone who knows me well knows that I hate to even go to Giant (our local grocery store.) So tonight was rather funny being in a huge Ukrainian grocery store and could hardly figure out what anything was!! Dylan and Roman were great sports and we tried to figure it out. Tomorrow we hit the turf to file more paperwork.

Praising God for an awesome day and thankful that so much got accomplished!

Details

Psalm 91:11-13
For he will command his angels concerning YOU, to guard you in all of your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

Great verses! Thinking of Kevin and Hannah as they start school today.  Praying for you all!!

I'm so thankful to God for working out the details over here.  We had to process papers this morning that could have taken 10 days, but it looks like it might only take a day and a half!!
Praise the Lord!

I have another HUGE praise for today!! I just found an envelope of money and my debit card that I have been looking for all night. It was money left over from the first trip that I had put in a very safe, special place. hahaha I basically hid it from myself a little too good!

I have another prayer request.  The next four days are critical to be getting certain paperwork done. If we miss the cut off, we will have to wait another week to submit them.  We are hopefully moving to another town tomorrow. It will be a whole new adventure for all of us. Please pray for the kids because it will be difficult leaving all they they have ever known.

Thank you all for praying and caring so much about all of this!!

Our wonderful church family back home has been providing some meals for my family!! I am so thankful to you all.

the American

I am so tired. (Just keeping it real!) Heading out to do more paperwork. Praying it goes well.  It is rather funny being referred to at the hotel as  "The American"!

Flights

Two flights down and waiting on the third! I'm sitting in the Kiev airport.

I'm so thankful for the internet and an outlet at the airport to charge my computer that I thought was charged!!

Thanks again for the prayers!

Journey

Isaiah 40:28-31
Have you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

I'm heading out again today to fly back to Ukraine. I have an amazing amount of peace.  Please pray for my family and for me. It has been a long journey, but we all know this is what our family has been called to do. Pray that God would continue to renew all of us in the days ahead!

Thank you all for your prayers and support!

My friend Janet and I went early today to Harrisburg, PA.  We will get the LAST Apostilles for adoption paperwork!! Thank you Janet for the company!!  Time moves way too fast in America.

I will be leaving on a Jet plane Saturday! I've been running around preparing and shopping for the kids and back to school.  So much to do!

Paperwork

"We can lick gravity, but sometimes the paperwork is overwhelming."
                               Wernher von Braun

I believe I was born to do paperwork. It is neverending in this process. The paperwork that we did yesterday and got notarized was wrong. So I fixed it today - or so I thought.  Then Keith came home and read it & found something else.  So while at WalMart I had to walk Keith through fixing it and going to get it notarized!!  I'm just so glad it was here and NOT in Ukraine.

Counting our blessings!!

South Carolina pics

Just thought that I would post a few pics from my time in SC.  Wish Keith could've joined us, but he had to work! We are so blessed with such a wonderful family.  We had a new family member to welcome this year - say HI to Josiah!  Everyone is anxious to welcome Dylan & Roman!  They are going to love South Carolina & our family fun in the summertime!!!
